Award

…PLEASANT VIEW GARDENS!!!!

Pleasant View Gardens was recently honored with an MNLA Award for Excellence in Garden Landscape.

A panel of practicing professionals in landscape education, landscape architecture and horticulture judged each entry based upon quality of design, appropriateness of materials used and the superiority of the workmanship. Entries are not judged against each other, but rather against standards of excellence in the green industry.

Here is what the judges had to say about the awarded project:

  • Award winner- solving simple needs with superior materials and workmanship providing entry and exit rooms in the landscape, and addressing storm-water in a practical way.
  • Good sensitivity to the natural environment with the use of natural material to control erosion and stormwater drainage

The Minnesota Nursery & Landscape Association is the state’s largest and oldest green industry trade association with more than 1,000 member businesses including garden centers; landscape contractors and designers; tree and flower growers; irrigation contractors; and lawn, tree, and garden professionals.

Why Adding Compost to Your Vegetable Garden Every Year Matters

Incorporating compost annually into vegetable gardens significantly enhances soil health by improving structure, nutrient availability, and biological activity. It promotes better root growth, provides slow-release nutrients, increases water retention, and supports beneficial microorganisms. These cumulative benefits lead to healthier, more productive gardens, reducing the need for external inputs.
